Overview

Montessori Children’s House has been providing quality child care since 1988. We provide every child an opportunity to grow and learn at their own pace in a warm and loving environment.

Montessori Children’s House offers child care on non-school days to students enrolled at Montessori Children’s House, students and faculty at Lewis and Clark Community College, and to the general public. Child care services are available year round. The child care program is open from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Admissions

Montessori Children’s House is open to anyone, regardless of race, creed, or color.

For admissions please contact the main office and schedule an appointment to take a tour of the facility. At this time you will be given an information packet containing an application. There is a $50 enrollment fee that should accompany your application. This fee is nonrefundable. If enrollment is full at the time of application, the applicant’s name will be placed on our waiting list. When space becomes available in that child’s age group, the parents will be notified by the main office. Priority will be extended to siblings of currently enrolled children.

Accounts are charged per your child’s schedule, regardless if your child attends.

Children who attend school and use the child care program during the summer, will be eligible to use 10 vacation days per year, without being charged. After 10 vacations days have been used, your account will be charged, per your schedule. Vacation days must be submitted in writing 1 week before the requested vacation time.

Children enrolled at Montessori Children’s House, before and after school care rate, is $3.50 per hour on school days.

If your child care costs will be subsidized by DCFS or CHASI, please contact Children’s Home and Aid Society (CHASI) at 1-800-847-6770.

The above rates include hot lunch and snacks.

We have a two-half day minimum attendance requirement.

You may be dropped from the program for prolonged absences without approval from the Director or the Administrative Coordinator.

There is a $50.00 enrollment fee that should accompany your application. This fee is non-refundable.

The program closes promptly at 5:30 pm. A late charge of $1.00 per minute will be charged after 5:30 pm.
